Ralph Loader - Managing Director

An original founder member of the company in 1979, Ralph has a banking background and utilised this experience as Finance Director to lead on company finance and accounting systems. He has played a vital part in managing the dynamic growth of the organisation during the 90's following positive government intervention in the insulation industry and the expansion into passive fire protection. Since taking over as Managing Director in 1999 he has continued to oversee finance and has steered the company through continued growth and development with the addition of new products and services to the company portfolio.

Duncan Nocton - Operations Director

Duncan joined the company during the early 90's to lead the sales function in the newly introduced passive fire protection division. A relatively minor industry at that time his expert technical knowledge and dynamic sales activity quickly established the company as a major force within the industry. Now Operations Director Duncan has also developed the insulation side of the business by establishing long-term relationships with major clients. His achievements have underpinned the growth of the company and he continues to lead on all sales and operational functions across the organisation.

Simon Hutchinson - Contracts Director

Simon leads the Passive Fire Protection Division and brings to bear wide knowledge and experience of both this specialist work and the wider construction industry. His extensive knowledge and skills encompass all forms of contract, commercial management and quantity surveying functions, finance, sales and operations. A Director and member of the Board he joined the company in 1998.

Polly Barfoot - Company Secretary and General Manager

Polly is a member of the Board and as Company Secretary originally took responsibility for the Accounting, Administration and HR and Training functions for the organisation. Formerly in Banking, she has extensive knowledge and experience of management, administration, information technology / accounts and training functions.

Kevin Burwell - HR & Training Officer

Kevin joined the team in 2001 as the Company Training Officer after a successful career in the Public Sector in management and training. He has subsequently taken charge of the Human Resource functions in addition to his training role and is also operationally involved in managing quality inspections of installations. He holds the Professional Certificate in Management, is an NVQ Assessor and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development (CIPD).

Nicholas Game Tech.SP - Health & Safety Officer

Nicholas is a highly qualified safety practitioner with National General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health (NEBOSH)/National Certificate in Construction Safety and Health (NEBOSH) qualifications and TechSP Status. Formally a Contract Manager within the construction industry he joined the company in 2000, has good site and management experience and assists in the running of contracts in addition to his primary role.

Karen Sparkes - Accountant

Karen has been with the company since 1998, starting out as Accounts assistant within the Accounts team. Promoted to supervisor and then Accounts Manager she is now the company Accountant managing the accounts team. She has continued her professional studies qualifying to AAT and is presently nearing completion of ACCA. In addition she utilises her excellent IT and administration skills to manage the reception and administration support staff.
